Heads of University Management and Administration Network in Europe (HUMANE)

Humane was set up in 1997 with the aim of grouping all heads of university administration in Europe in a network devoted to professional development by sharing best practice.

The association has some 200 members from 26 different European countries. It disseminates knowledge and skills of high relevance for the administration of European HEIs, thus enhancing operational leadership, day-to-day management and administration as a profession crucial to the success of HEIs.

Seminars, highly specialised study trips and the renowned one-week joint ESMU-HUMANE Winter School are the main activities the association organises to achieve its aim.
