ProTon Europe

ProTon Europe, the European Knowledge Transfer Association, was created in 2003 by the European Commission and is self supporting since 2007.

With over 220 KTO members and 10 National Partner Associations, it reaches out to almost 600 universities and public research organisations across Europe.

ProTon Europe is the voice for the KT profession in the development of European and national knowledge transfer policy. Board members and some members of the association participate actively in shaping future policy of the profession (European Research Area, European Institute of Technology, Responsible Partnering, State Aid Rules, European Patent System, Institute of Knowledge Transfer, Knowledge Transfer Expert Group).
