MODERN is a European platform which promotes the modernisation of higher education management.
Under the leadership of ESMU, MODERN is a consortium of 10 core and 31 associate partners who have joined forces to provide a structured answer to the fragmentation in the supply of management support to HEIs, their leaders and managersMODERN is a three-year EU-funded Structural Network (2009-2011) under the Lifelong Learning (ERASMUS) programme.
MODERN responds to the Modernisation Agenda of the European Union and to the need to invest in people, to support future leaders and encourage the professionalisation of higher education management at all levels. The overall objective is to ensure HEIs' competitiveness to meet challenges in their external environment and respond to the needs of society.
